So part of our deal with moving to the czech republic was that we had to deal with a whole host of visa situations.  That meant that when we got married in iceland, and honeymooned in estonia, that counted towards our schengen time.  Which was certainly a bummer, but that meant that while we were waiting for our visas to be approved, we couldn’t wait in the czech republic.  Instead we had to leave the schengen area.  So we decided to take a trip to croatia.  I couldn’t be happier that we did.  Croatia is a beautiful country, filled with wonderful people.  I hadn’t really ever thought that I would be so interested in croatia, but it’s crazy how different the people are there.  Everyone is super

Larry Real Estate { Hudson Valley Headshot Photographer }

First off, if you haven’t had a chance to check out my new portfolio and my new website please head here: Hudson Valley Editorial Portrait Photographer

These are shots that I did with a new local Real Estate Agent.  Larry was a great guy to work with, and I think we came away with some really strong shots.  He wanted something that showed a bit of character and personality, while at the same time remaining professional.  We went with one look in the studio, and one look outdoors.  I shot the outdoor stuff at one of my favorite locations for headshots over by the taxi building.  I swear I find something new over there every time I go out there.  Th

So lately things have been so busy around our house. We had a great trip to new orleans. It was so awesome. The last time that I can remember that I was there was for the combined birthday between me and my granddad. We are actually both born on the same day.  A few years apart, but the same day.  So we had my 16th and his 50th on the same day.  That was such a fun experience.  I have always appreciated us having the same birthday.  For some reason we’ve always managed to have a blast celebrating together.  When I was younger I used to always make everyone granddad and grandma included go to a hibachi grill restaurant, and seeing old pictures of my granddad with those

Hudson Valley Senior Portrait Photographer { Katrina }

These are clearly not senior portrait shots, but I have wanted to start ranking more for seniors.  I have a feeling I could offer something that a lot of the other senior portrait photographers couldn’t quite offer.  I have a strong fashion look to my work, and I’m hoping that I can appeal to clients who are looking to get something that is really interesting, and modern.  There will be no hiding behind trees kinds of shoots here.  I’m not going to take a picture of you leaning on your hands, or posing against a brick wall.  There’s only going to be really well done shots that capture the real you.  Then I’ll be professionally retouching these shots to look

Well I’ve been  trying to stay on top of blogging lately.  We’ve been having a lot of fun around the house lately.  I’ve really been enjoying the down time around here.  I spent a week in austin a few weeks ago, and after that, I’ve been able to take some more time for myself.  Which is great, because while I’ve been booking less work lately, they’ve been a bit more well paid, which means I can take more time on my clients and that’s something that I really love.

Overall I’ve been really happy with my work lately.  I do kinda have the feeling that I’ve hit another plateau, at the same time the effort it’s going to take to move m

Well I’m finally back from my trip to Seattle, and I’m out from under the most horrific stomach flu I’ve ever had in my life.  I won’t go into details, but let’s just say I’m super glad that’s over with.

Seattle was fun, no major news to report.  I went down to the fish market, but I was kinda disappointed.  I thought it was bigger, and cooler.  I guess there’s very

Here are some more shots that I did while I was in tokyo.  This fantastic model is Yuki.  She was a total blast to work with.  Again I was so sad that I couldn’t speak japanese, because I could tell she had a super fun personality.  When she wasn’t busy looking absolutely gorgeous, she was making funny faces at me.  Which had me laughing pretty much our entire

Well I finally get to start posting some of my images from Japan.  This trip was quite possibly one of the most life changing trips I’ve ever taken.  Not only was it a ton of fun, but I came away with 3 editorials that I’m truly proud of.  It’s crazy to realize how far I’ve come since starting to shoot professionally in 2005.  It’s been a wild ride, and I can’t wait to look back on these i

Hudson Valley Headshot Photographer { Jackie }

Here’s some more shots that I did this summer with a local Hudson Valley agency model, Jacqueline.  She was a blast to work with.  And the whole time I managed to tease her about the fact that I thought because her name was Jacqueline, that she was clearly french.  So I talked to her in a joking french accent for most of our shoot.  Luckily she was a good sport about it.  We had a ton of fun on this shoot.  We ended up doing a pretty early morning shoot, as I think she was busy with a ton of things around this time.  This was right around the time that she took a trip out to Hudson Valley, to work with some of the great photographers out there.  Which was h

Hudson Valley Actor Headshot Photographer { Brianna T. }

A while ago I got a great chance to work with this beauty.  This is Brianna, who’s a local model who works for the Wilhelmina Modeling agency.  Man is this girl talented.  When she showed up in my studio, I knew we were going to get some fantastic shots.  She’s got a gorgeous face, and came with some fun clothes, and her makeup looked flawless.  I had seen Brianna on their boards, and just really loved her look.  So I was super excited when I got a chance to work with her.  We wanted to add some versatility to her portfolio.  Something that would show a few different looks, and sides.  I always try and add as much variation as I
