So part of our deal with moving to the czech republic was that we had to deal with a whole host of visa situations.  That meant that when we got married in iceland, and honeymooned in estonia, that counted towards our schengen time.  Which was certainly a bummer, but that meant that while we were waiting for our visas to be approved, we couldn’t wait in the czech republic.  Instead we had to leave the schengen area.  So we decided to take a trip to croatia.  I couldn’t be happier that we did.  Croatia is a beautiful country, filled with wonderful people.  I hadn’t really ever thought that I would be so interested in croatia, but it’s crazy how different the people are there.  Everyone is super

So I actually shot these while on my honeymoon.  It’s kinda crazy I know, but good thing my wife is also a fashion photographer.  Hell I bet she actually encourages it more than I do.  The fun part is realizing that pretty much wherever we travel, I get to shoot an editorial.  I don’t know too many photographers who get to pull that card.  It’s so awesome.

Estonia was quite possibly was of my most favorite places on earth.  The people are amazing there, super friendly, smart, language collectors.  I really enjoyed be

So of course I was super happy to be out in Iceland to go and get married, and let me tell you it was a perfect day, but while we were there, of course we had to put together a few shoots.  So this editorial was all shot in Iceland.  Honestly, if you would have told me a few years ago that I would be shooting a whole editorial in Iceland, I’m not sure I would have believed you.  Frankly, it’s crazy how much life has changed in recent months.  I’m now married, living in Hudson Valley, staying in zagreb while our visa’s are approved, and just generally enjoying my life these days.  I think most people have these stories of how they turned a rejection into a success, and I feel like I’m no different.  I remember a long time ago talking to my ex wife about some recent shoot I had done, and made some comment like “

Living in Hudson Valley { Professional Model Photographer }

Hudson Valley has been a lot of fun so far.  This was actually shot in Estonia, but I needed an image for the post, so I figured I could just use this one.  We have certainly had some ups and downs.  It’s been trickier than we thought to find an apartment here.  It’s really just so damn hard to get showings, and have people actually return your calls.  It seems like there are a lot more tenants than there are apartments, so if a listing is only listed with one company they can take their sweet time getting back to you because they know they’ll have another 15 calls a few minutes later.  So instead we’ve been staying at this vacation rental which is slightly outside of town.  I think Lynzi and I are

New Website Launched Hudson Valley Photographer

So for the last few months I’ve been working on building a new website. I liked my old one, but there were a few problems. First off the mobile version and the desktop version were actually 2 different code bases, so if I wanted to update one, I had to update it in 2 places. That totally sucked, and even got me in trouble once.  When I moved my studio from downtown Hudson Valley, to a bit further out, I forgot to update the mobile version of my website.  This resulted in a client showing up to the wrong studio space.  Another problem, was that while it was good for SEO to have all my portfolio’s seperated by the general category, I felt like it was too much work

So lately things have been so busy around our house. We had a great trip to new orleans. It was so awesome. The last time that I can remember that I was there was for the combined birthday between me and my granddad. We are actually both born on the same day.  A few years apart, but the same day.  So we had my 16th and his 50th on the same day.  That was such a fun experience.  I have always appreciated us having the same birthday.  For some reason we’ve always managed to have a blast celebrating together.  When I was younger I used to always make everyone granddad and grandma included go to a hibachi grill restaurant, and seeing old pictures of my granddad with those

Amber editorial portraits and some fashion shots Hudson Valley Photographer

Amber came in wanting to do some more fashion style shots.  She had always wanted to be a model, and wanted to make a real run at it.  I knew when she came in she had a gorgeous face, and I was excited to get some great shots.  She also had a ton of personality, so I knew we would get some shots with some character in them.

We started out in the back and got some natural light shots.  I haven’t had a chance to edit any of those ones yet.  After that we moved on to do a bunch of studio looks.  I’m excited to see how those ones turn out as well after a bit of editing, but in the mean time I really wanted to work up this one shot.

I sure did have a nice weekend this weekend.  The fiance and I spent Sunday running errands, but the fun part is realizing how much fun we have together.  We really do enjoy each others company so much, and we make running errands fun.  I know we’re a bit gross, but whatever.  Hell we even finished off the day with some doughnuts from Dunkin.  And if that’s not a way to finish out a day, I don’t know what is.

Lynzi was running around pulling together some props for a shoot she wants to do that’s very Tim Walker.  I’m excited to see how her shots turn out.  I already helped her figure out what she wanted to do with the lighting so she could get

Well I’ve been  trying to stay on top of blogging lately.  We’ve been having a lot of fun around the house lately.  I’ve really been enjoying the down time around here.  I spent a week in austin a few weeks ago, and after that, I’ve been able to take some more time for myself.  Which is great, because while I’ve been booking less work lately, they’ve been a bit more well paid, which means I can take more time on my clients and that’s something that I really love.

Overall I’ve been really happy with my work lately.  I do kinda have the feeling that I’ve hit another plateau, at the same time the effort it’s going to take to move m

Julie Mustoffa Southwest Hairstyling Awards Winner Hudson Valley Photographer

I’m so proud of these shots.  Frankly, I’m proud of this whole shoot, it was such an amazing collaboration.  Everyone on this shoot did such an amazing job.  I guess first I should talk about Julie a little bit.  Julie is a partner at the Parlor salon in Hudson Valley.  She’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever worked with on a shoot like this.  She came to me wanting to do some shots to enter into the Southwest Hairstyling awards.  Something that I was totally honored to shoot.

I knew I wanted to knock these shots out of the park for her.  When she showed me her inspiration I knew I could get close to nailing it for these.  The shot
