Capsize for Blum Magazine { Hudson Valley Model Photographer }

First off if you’re looking for a Módní Photographer check out my portfolio.  I’d of course love to put together your perfect shoot.

So of course I was super happy to be out in Iceland to go and get married, and let me tell you it was a perfect day, but while we were there, of course we had to put together a few shoots.  So this editorial was all shot in Iceland.  Honestly, if you would have told me a few years ago that I would be shooting a whole editorial in Iceland, I’m not sure I would have believed you.  Frankly, it’s crazy how much life has changed in recent months.  I’m now married, living in Hudson Valley, staying in zagreb while our visa’s are approved, and just generally enjoying my life these days.  I think most people have these stories of how they turned a rejection into a success, and I feel like I’m no different.  I remember a long time ago talking to my ex wife about some recent shoot I had done, and made some comment like “

Hudson Valley Fashion Photographer { Kara Forshay Salon and Spa }

I recently had the opportunity to work with a local hair Salon, Salon Foushee & Spa. Their salon had won a chance to work with the Editorial Director of Paul Mitchell, Lucie Doughty. I have to say I haven’t had this much fun on a shoot this large in a long time. Not only was it great to work with a fun team of passionate hair stylists, Lucie was one of the most fun people I’ve ever been with on a shoot.  She was smart, creative, and insightful.  Exactly the kind of person I want to be with on a shoot like this.  It was great to have that kind of teamate when you’re on a huge shoot like this.  We were shooting

If you haven’t had a chance, check out my new portfolio here Hudson Valley Editorial Portrait Photographer

I’ve been really having a lot of fun with my work lately. I’ve been super busy, and it feels like I’m more booked than I’ve ever been. I’ll tell you my savings account isn’t exactly complaining. Now I could live comfortably until I died, as long as I died like next Thursday or so. I’ve also been spending a lot of time working on my house.  I feel like I haven’t really had a chance to do any work on my house for a while.  Lots of little stuff, nothing big, but I’m hoping to have a woodworker replace a lot of

Larry Real Estate { Hudson Valley Headshot Photographer }

First off, if you haven’t had a chance to check out my new portfolio and my new website please head here: Hudson Valley Editorial Portrait Photographer

These are shots that I did with a new local Real Estate Agent.  Larry was a great guy to work with, and I think we came away with some really strong shots.  He wanted something that showed a bit of character and personality, while at the same time remaining professional.  We went with one look in the studio, and one look outdoors.  I shot the outdoor stuff at one of my favorite locations for headshots over by the taxi building.  I swear I find something new over there every time I go out there.  Th

New Website Launched Hudson Valley Photographer

So for the last few months I’ve been working on building a new website. I liked my old one, but there were a few problems. First off the mobile version and the desktop version were actually 2 different code bases, so if I wanted to update one, I had to update it in 2 places. That totally sucked, and even got me in trouble once.  When I moved my studio from downtown Hudson Valley, to a bit further out, I forgot to update the mobile version of my website.  This resulted in a client showing up to the wrong studio space.  Another problem, was that while it was good for SEO to have all my portfolio’s seperated by the general category, I felt like it was too much work

Amber editorial portraits and some fashion shots Hudson Valley Photographer

Amber came in wanting to do some more fashion style shots.  She had always wanted to be a model, and wanted to make a real run at it.  I knew when she came in she had a gorgeous face, and I was excited to get some great shots.  She also had a ton of personality, so I knew we would get some shots with some character in them.

We started out in the back and got some natural light shots.  I haven’t had a chance to edit any of those ones yet.  After that we moved on to do a bunch of studio looks.  I’m excited to see how those ones turn out as well after a bit of editing, but in the mean time I really wanted to work up this one shot.

I sure ha

Hudson Valley Senior Portrait Photographer { Katrina }

These are clearly not senior portrait shots, but I have wanted to start ranking more for seniors.  I have a feeling I could offer something that a lot of the other senior portrait photographers couldn’t quite offer.  I have a strong fashion look to my work, and I’m hoping that I can appeal to clients who are looking to get something that is really interesting, and modern.  There will be no hiding behind trees kinds of shoots here.  I’m not going to take a picture of you leaning on your hands, or posing against a brick wall.  There’s only going to be really well done shots that capture the real you.  Then I’ll be professionally retouching these shots to look

Hudson Valley Photographer { Elora Zamora }

So this is Elora, a gorgeous singer here in Hudson Valley.  She came to me, wanting to up her game with some great pictures for her singing career.  She knew how important branding yourself can be to getting that next big gig.  For other people to take you seriously, first you need to take your own career seriously.  Because she was such a pretty girl already, I knew that I could get away with doing simple looks for her, because I knew she would be able to really carry the shots.  It really depends on peoples personalities when you’re doing shots like these.  If they are interesting enough I think you can get away with simpler

Nicole Pretty Pictures in the studio { Hudson Valley Headshot Photographer }

I sure did have a nice weekend this weekend.  The fiance and I spent Sunday running errands, but the fun part is realizing how much fun we have together.  We really do enjoy each others company so much, and we make running errands fun.  I know we’re a bit gross, but whatever.  Hell we even finished off the day with some doughnuts from Dunkin.  And if that’s not a way to finish out a day, I don’t know what is.

Lynzi was running around pulling together some props for a shoot she wants to do that’s very Tim Walker.  I’m excited to see how her shots turn out.  I already helped her figure out what she wanted to do with the lighting so she could get

Matt Julius working on his modeling Portfolio { Hudson Valley Headshot Photographer }

Well I’ve been  trying to stay on top of blogging lately.  We’ve been having a lot of fun around the house lately.  I’ve really been enjoying the down time around here.  I spent a week in austin a few weeks ago, and after that, I’ve been able to take some more time for myself.  Which is great, because while I’ve been booking less work lately, they’ve been a bit more well paid, which means I can take more time on my clients and that’s something that I really love.

Overall I’ve been really happy with my work lately.  I do kinda have the feeling that I’ve hit another plateau, at the same time the effort it’s going to take to move m
