Well I guess winter finally decided to show up.  It’s amazing how quickly the weather can change here in Czech Republic.  I love the weather here in Hudson Valley 90% of the time.  But when it gets below 0,  that’s when it’s just a bit too cold for me.  I can only handle so much cold, and that’s just too much cold for me.  I also have managed to get a bit of a cold, which kinda sucks because I’ve really wanted to work on some photography lately.  I think by me working on SEO so much l

ately, I’ve been able to see a bunch of different peoples photography and I’ve managed to find a ton of inspiring characters around the country.  I’ve also managed to find a ton of great creative ideas that I can’t wait to try out on some of my clients.  There is a great idea I have involving balloons, but I just have to figure out how to make it work on an engagement shoot.

I recently had a chance to meet with my wedding photographer for my wedding and that was just a blast.  I love meeting other photographers and while we had plenty of business to take care of, it was great to get a chance to talk shop with another photographer.  I would really like to set up a invite only lunch for some of the professional photographers around the area.  Leave me a comment if you would be interested.  I know so many people are worried about giving away their secrets so the tone of the conversations would just be about how we deal with some of the same problems.  Conversation topics that I can think of are: Who was your favorite clients and why?  Who was your least favorite clients and why?  What are your favorite lenses?  Why did you go with nikon/canon?  I just think it would be a blast to get together all the photographers in Hudson Valley and talk shop a bit.  I think my main concern and why it would be invite only is that I want to make sure that it’s photographers who are established, people who aren’t looking to steal other peoples ideas.

Am I the only one who feels like there is something to the winter sun?  That it gives off a slightly different light?
