It’s certainly rare that I do a series. I find when I go out shooting that most of the time I end up with one or two photographs that I really like and everything else is just not up to par. I took this shot while I was doing my wedding shoot with Dave and Julia. I was actually just trying to figure out what kind of lighting I wanted to use for the couple walking down this alleyway into their reception. As you can see this is not the exposure I ended up with because it would have been overly dark. But just as I was playing with exposure and figuring all this stuff out, and this waitress walked passed me. Read more...

Man I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve done a real post about some of my recent work. I’ve been so busy with other things going on in my life it’s been hard to stay on top of blogging. Not that blogging is really a chore, I love writing about all my photography sessions, and being able to look back on them with some version of commentary. First off if you’re looking for an wedding photographer take a look at my denver wedding photography portfolio.
So here are some more shots from Jan and Andrews wedding. I’ve been working a ton on these shots, because they are so much fun to work on. I swear I’ve actually been smiling when I look at some of these shots. This was such a great opportunity to work under pressure, and with little preparation. It was great for me to experience what it’s like to shoot a wedding, and learn what I can and can’t do. Rarely do I shoot this many people all at once, and it was definitely a challenge to get everyone smiling, eyes open, and looking at the camera. Read more...
