Austin Flower Spring Photography

Alright Alright it might not actually be summer in Austin.  But it practically is.  Ok maybe not the blistering heat, but damn this Colorado boy was a bit warm.  I recently took a trip down to Austin for some business, and man did I have fun.  70 degrees, day or night.  It was so weird walking outside at night and it being warm.  Totally crazy!  I also got just a small chance to do a bit of photography while I was down there.

Denver Food Photography Lime Light

First off if you’re looking for a Denver Food Photographer check out my portfolio.

Well,… here are the fruits of my labor… O man was that a bad joke.  I’m a little embarrassed for myself at this point.  But no really, I for some reason had a blast shooting this little slice of lime.  He had so much character.  I setup this shot by hanging this little guy in a part of my house with a little window between the kitchen and the dining room with a bit of tippet.  For all you non fly fishermen, that’s basically fishing line.  I had a shoot through umbrella camera left in the first picture, and I had it really close to the lime so i could get a good delineation between the lime and the background.

Freezing Bees

Bumble Bee

Being a little bored on a Saturday isn’t always a bad thing. I always think of photography ideas while I’m sleeping, and this was one of them. I had never done the freezing bees trick before, and I always wanted to try it out. I also wanted to try my new ringlight out. I know I need to get on actually writing a post about my ringlight.

After a nice cup of coffee I got to work. Man I love coffee on Saturday morning. Sitting enjoying a cup of joe in the sun while hanging out with the boys, It doesn’t get much better than that.
