Well it’s been a little bit since I’ve done a writeup for an engagement shoot. I’ve just been so busy with work, and other stuff. I recently had a chance to do some head-shots for a local psychiatrist for use on some local publications. I really loved being able to learn from the experience and have a good chance to show off a few different ways in which you can get a business portrait, and some ways where you can make your head shots really pop. I took this shot while I was doing my wedding shoot with Dave and Julia. I was actually just trying to figure out what kind of lighting I wanted to use for the couple walking down this alleyway into their reception. As you can see this is not the exposure I ended up with because it would have been overly dark. But just as I was playing with exposure and figuring all this stuff out, and this waitress walked passed me. Read more...
