I know everyone is a little tired of seeing shots from this fashion show, but seeing as how I worked on a few more I might as well post them, and talk about them each. Again it’s so weird to me how much more work is involved in fashion photography. I hate putting all this portrait orientated shots on my blog, because I don’t feel like they work as well as the landscape oriented shots, but whatcha gonna do. I could make them smaller, but I like my work to be shown at a decent enough size that you can really get a feel for the shot, and see some detail. For instance on this shot I did a ton of post work, hopefully none of which you can see. Fashion is weird like that, it involves so much more than the more natural look of my engagement photography. Not that I don’t do post work on my engagement photography, but it’s more about contrast and color, and less about makeup, fly aways and bone structure. Read more...

You know what I love most about photography? Fashion photography. I love the makeup, the style, the creativity in a look. I love everything about fashion photography. If it payed my bills I would do it all the time. Thing is Denver fashion photography is a little hard to get into. There really aren’t that many clients, and Denver isn’t exactly the fashion capital of the world. So with that in mind it’s hard for me to do it on a regular basis.
