Well it’s been a while hasn’t it. It seems like I haven’t posted anything in forever. I really just haven’t been in the mood to do any writing lately. Nothing I really wanted to write about. I’m still kicking booty on my engagement shoots, and have a few random gigs coming up here and there. Honestly though I just love taking pictures of people. After working on this last Engagement session I realized how much I really love taking pictures of people. It just makes me smile. Read more...

First off if you’re looking for an engagement photographer take a look at my denver engagement photography portfolio.
Man what a whirlwind it’s been lately. The weekend before last I was focused on making sure that Carrie and Matt got some great engagement photographs, and this last weekend I shot my first wedding. Of course Carrie and Matts engagement photography was easy. Cute couple, totally in love, pshhh nothing more to ask for there. Heck I even found a few new places to shoot around Denver that I really like. Read more...

I’m not sure why I’ve been digging taking pictures of old bikes so much recently. I have a ton of shots of these old classics just waiting to be processed. I think it’s because I recently got a cruiser of my own, and just love going riding around Denver. I bought one for my girlfriend too so that we could both go out on our cruisers and have a blast riding around town and having drinks at whatever random place we find. This one has a springer front just like mine. That means that there is a spring on the front of the bike that acts like a old version of shocks. They actually work pretty well too. It softens the ride quite a bit. Again this is more of the fine art photography that I have been really enjoying lately. Although they don’t comapre to when I get to do portrait photography. Guess where? I know I need to find more places to walk around with interesting people than just always going to 16th street mall, but it’s just always so much fun. This was one of the guys I found on 16th street. He was playing an awesome electrified violin, and he had a really good sound. Now his promoter was kind of a goofball, but other than that he had an awesome sound. Now I’m sure you’re all wondering who the heck this guy is right? Me too! I couldn’t remember his name, and due to the fact that I didn’t think I got anything good, I didn’t bother to ask again. It’s really too bad, because I wouldn’t mind plugging him just a bit on here, but honestly I can’t remember his name for the life of me. Read more...

So lately I’ve been trying harder and harder to really reach out and talk to more people that I find interesting in hopes that it will make my photography better. I also like the pressure of taking a portrait of someone you just met. So I was walking along 16th street on one of my downtown walkabouts, and I saw this old guy. He was great. In the middle of 16th street he was hanging out in a nice suit, and his hat. I loved his hat. There was this bright yellow stripe around a really well cut hat. I decided after passing him once that if i saw him again I was going to strike up a conversation, and actually get his portrait. So as I was coming back down 16th street I saw him again and went for it. Read more...
