Alright Alright it might not actually be summer in Austin. But it practically is. Ok maybe not the blistering heat, but damn this Colorado boy was a bit warm. I recently took a trip down to Austin for some business, and man did I have fun. 70 degrees, day or night. It was so weird walking outside at night and it being warm. Totally crazy! I also got just a small chance to do a bit of photography while I was down there.

March 16, 2011Denver Photographers { Little bit of Winter Sun }
February 6, 2011First off if you’re looking for Denver Photographers check out my main website.
Well I guess winter finally decided to show up. It’s amazing how quickly the weather can change here in Colorado. I love the weather here in Denver 90% of the time. But when it gets below 0, that’s when it’s just a bit too cold for me. I can only handle so much cold, and that’s just too much cold for me. I also have managed to get a bit of a cold, which kinda sucks because I’ve really wanted to work on some photography lately. I think by me working on SEO so much lately, I’ve been able to see a bunch of different peoples photography and I’ve managed to find a ton of inspiring characters around the country. I’ve also managed to find a ton of great creative ideas that I can’t wait to try out on some of my clients. There is a great idea I have involving balloons, but I just have to figure out how to make it work on an engagement shoot.
Denver Food Photographer { Cashew Carrot Ginger Soup }
December 21, 2010First off if you’re looking for a Food Photographer In Denver check out my portfolio.
Well at this point I would say that I’m just learning so much from shooting food. It’s weird how complex it is, and how complicated it is to get a good looking appetizing shot. Go on try it yourself. You’ll see how hard it can be. I know all of us portrait photographers thing that shooting something so static would be easy. But it’s not. So far the hardest thing is getting the lighting and the setting right. And lately I’ve been studying a lot of lighting. I think that if I get the lighting nailed then that’s like 75% of the battle. The funny thing is that the lighting seems to be really complex on some of my favorite food shots.
Denver Portrait Photographer { Business Goals for the Winter }
December 6, 2010First off if you’re looking for a Denver Portrait Photographer, or a Denver Photographer please check out my main website.
Well winter is here, and seeing as how my business certainly slows down in the winter I’ve been thinking recently about some goals for my business the winter. Winter time is rough for any photographer, not much going on with weddings, most couples don’t want to do engagement photography when it’s super cold outside, and most families are worried about the holidays more than doing any family portraits. So the winter time is a perfect opportunity for photographers to work on their craft, perfect their SEO, and work on other aspects of their business.
Denver Photographer { Winter is here! }
December 3, 2010Oy, It’s getting cold again here in Denver. I’m so torn when it comes to cold weather. On the one hand I love skiing in the mountains and sledding, but on the other hand I had the slick roads here in Denver, and those cold breezes that seem to cut right through my jacket. Sadly I’m not going to get a chance to go skiing as much as I want to this year, because I’m saving up for my wedding. Yes that’s right I’m engaged if you didn’t know. Which is awesome! I’m getting really excited to get married. We’ve been doing our wedding tastings and all sorts of other stuff to try and get everything planned out. Man it’s a lot of work! Thank god my fiance is so good at this stuff otherwise I’m not sure how we would get all this stuff done.
