Denver, Colorado based Photographer Dave Brown is a Portrait Photographer who specializes in Engagement, Senior Portraits, Commercial, and Fashion Photography.
What me? Not write any blog posts for months? ME?!?! No never. I know it’s been too long, but I’ve just been having fun doing all sorts of crazy things. These shots are from a fashion portfolio shoot I did a while ago, but I wanted to share them. They are some of my favs. Katie is a local model here in Denver, and a total blast to work with. Super nice, we had a blast creating some great images. I love it when I get to work with people that seem to really “get” it. Ya know?
Man it’s been a wild ride lately. I’ve been shooting nearly every weekend. Having a blast in my studio. It’s awesome, I can’t tell you how much fun it is to just be able to work on my photography. Not to mention I’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing models lately. This here is Kristiana, and she was just a blast to work with. Came with a ton of ideas, great person. It’s so much easier to shoot fashion when you’re working with people who you actually enjoy being around. I hate boring people. I also don’t like feeling like I have to be a dancing bear to keep people entertained. It’s just too much work to shoot and dance. Seriously. Too. much. work.
Well if you guys can’t tell, I’m really into my fashion photography lately. I’ve been putting a ton of effort into both learning and growing as an artist. For those of you who don’t know, when I got into photography this was what I aspired to do. And while it probably won’t ever pay the bills, it will remain to be a part of my artistic being. I can’t tell you how giddy and excited I get by this style of portrait work.
I’ve been doing so much fashion photography lately, and I just love it. It’s such a blast for me to be able to be super creative. I love being able to come up with things that I can’t do on wedding or engagement photography. Because of all that I finally rented my own studio space. Which is awesome! I’m so excited about it. I just moved in a few days ago, and already I’m super happy about it. It gives me the space I need to really work, which is something that i just couldn’t do when I was shooting out of my garage. So here’s to me taking my photography to the next level! Wish me luck.
In the interest of getting better and posting more frequently…. I’m going to start posting more pictures from my shoots and less discussion. If you’re interested in knowing more about my lighting, hit me up in the comments and I’ll be glad to help you out.
These 2 girls were such a pair, we worked together on a bit of portfolio building for all of us, and man did we have some fun. Here are a few of the different looks we were able to come up with while they were in my studio.
