About
June 11, 2009Dave Brown is a Denver based photographer who specializes in portrait photography. He started out on a simple pentax 35mm that was given to him by his grandmother. Fascinated by the almost scientific nature of mixing light, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO he knew that photography would be an interest of his for years to come.
Eventually he combined his love of computers and photography to create a new interest in digital photography. Since going digital Dave has never looked back. “As much fun as film is, it doesn’t give you the flexibility that digital does. Being a photographer is about being able to create a story, and digital allows me to do just that.”
Dave was the first digital photographer to have his work hung in the workspace gallery at CU in Boulder , a place typically reserved only for film photographers.
He has come a long way since his first digital shots on a canon point and shoot. He now shoots with 2 cameras’s a Nikon D700 as his main camera, and a Nikon D80 as a backup camera. He also enjoys shooting primes lenses.
