Jan and Andrew taken by denver wedding photographer

First off if you’re looking for an wedding photographer take a look at my denver wedding photography portfolio.

I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything.  I’ve felt really busy lately, but I think it’s just all in my head.  That and my throat hurt a bit so that kept me from doing the things that I really wanted to.  Like work on Jan and Andrews wedding photographs.  I have been desperately craving working on something creative.  But before I can have fun with the creative stuff I have to sort through all their images, and get ratings and stuff out of the way.  That way I can find the images I really love easily, and eliminate the ones that are out of focus, or generally off exposures.

Man what a whirlwind it’s been lately.  The weekend before last I was focused on making sure that Carrie and Matt got some great engagement photographs, and this last weekend I shot my first wedding.  Of course Carrie and Matts engagement photography was easy.  Cute couple, totally in love, pshhh nothing more to ask for there.  Heck I even found a few new places to shoot around Denver that I really like.

So I had a another engagement shoot with a couple transported to Denver from Pittsburgh.  Say hi to Carrie and Matt.  They were a great couple to work with, and we had a ton of fun walking around Denver taking some nice relaxed candids.  They are planning their whole wedding here in Denver, while the actual wedding is going to be in Pittsburgh.  Imagine how hard that would be.  They fly back every couple of weeks, and have a whirlwind of things to get done.  20 minutes for this, 15 minutes for that.  It’s got to be hard.  Good thing they are both so easy going.

I’m not sure why I’ve been digging taking pictures of old bikes so much recently.  I have a ton of shots of these old classics just waiting to be processed.  I think it’s because I recently got a cruiser of my own, and just love going riding around Denver.  I bought one for my girlfriend too so that we could both go out on our cruisers and have a blast riding around town and having drinks at whatever random place we find.  This one has a springer front just like mine.  That means that there is a spring on the front of the bike that acts like a old version of shocks.  They actually work pretty well too.  It softens the ride quite a bit.  Again this is more of the fine art photography that I have been really enjoying lately.  Although they don’t comapre to when  I get to do portrait photography.
